Preface to the Web Edition

This version is based on the 2011-2012 print Catalog but contains more up-to-date information, and thus shall be considered the official statement of college course offerings, fees, and policies.

Students who matriculated prior to Fall 2009 should refer to departmental Web sites or printed documents regarding the transition to new requirements.

Note: Not all courses are offered every year.  Every effort has been made to ensure accuracy. Please bring any errors to the attention of the Office of Communications, catalog@skidmore.edu.

Printing the Catalog

This year’s catalog is 2011-2012 , available for download and print. If you are on-campus, the file is also available for reprinting through Office Services.

Searching the Catalog

You can search the catalog several different ways:

• Search by department , to get department information (which includes faculty listing, major/minor/honors information, and a list of courses in the department);
• Search for specific courses  by prefix (to get all of the courses for that department) or prefix and course number (AA 299, EN 100, etc.) and;
• Search for specific major/minor programs  (Psychology B.A, Music Minor, etc.).
