MB 308 - Financial Accounting II

Advanced course continuing the study of financial accounting begun in  . Students will analyze the problems arising in the application of accounting theory to specific business situations. Students will explore financial reporting and disclosure topics, including inter-corporate investments, equity and debt financing, leases and pensions. Students will also address problems in income determination and reporting, including income tax allocation and earnings per share. Students will gain an understanding of financial statements and the financial data underlying financial reporting, and will focus on how financial information is used for decision making.
